West Coast Paintball Series Champions Crowned

The 2010 season of the West Coast Paintball Series ended with a bang with 29 teams who came out to compete in our Open, Rookie, Beginner and Pump Division. Energy was running high with close to 130 players preparing for a day of games. Each team played 10 games throughout the day and each hoped to see their teams scores soar high.

At the end of the day, Seattle Swagger, Shameless, Frikadelliwurst and Killa B's were the top four scoring teams in Open Division. After battling it out in finals, Shameless took first place, Seattle Swagger, Eclipse sponsored team, took second place and Frikadelliwurst earned third place. In the Rookie Division, NW Devastation, D-Botch, ACI Green and Code Blue A competed in finals, resulting in a first place win for NW Devastation, second place for Code Blue A and third place for D-Botch. The 3-Man Beginner Division had Crossfire A, Crossfire B, H8R Kidz and Notorious teams going for the first place win in semi-finals. After finals, first place was awarded to Notorious, second place to H8R Kidz and third place to Crossfire A.

For the first event ever in WCPS, an Exhibition Pump Division was created and six teams came out, excited to play in a pump tournament! Although every team competed hard, the day resulted in first place awarded to APC, second place to Pumps Inc., and third place to B.I.G. With a great turnout and requests for more events, we will be bringing back the pump division next year in the 2011 season as a part of our regular events.

Being our last event of the 2010 season, the WCPS was able to award our first place season champions their medals and prizes! Congratulations to Seattle Swagger, Sponsored by War Paint Int and Planet Eclipse, for earning first place in the Open Division, and Shooters Inc. for earning first place in the Rookie Division! Both are stand-up teams and we were glad to have them along with us for the entire season! We are looking forward to a great beginning to the 2011 season in late February or early March. Check out our website at www.westcoastpbseries.com for the upcoming event dates and locations for the 2011 season. Looking forward to an awesome season next year!

On another note $178 was Raised at Event #6 for the Thanksgiving dinners provided to needy families through Outward Church in Salem, OR. Thanks to all the players for making this happen!

We would like to thank Planet Eclipse for their continued support throughout the entire season. It has been a great year with them aboard as a sponsor and we look forward to working with them for next season.
