WCPS # 3

After weeks of rain and clouds, the blue skies and warm 80 degree weather was a true blessing for WCPS Event #3 on June 12th. The morning started off cool under the great tree canopy of the Splat Action field, nestled in a forested area of Molalla, Oregon. Teams and spectators all arrived and got settled in and prepared for the day full of games with 21 teams total registered.

The day was packed with 64 games in the preliminaries for the Rookie and Open Divisions, and 36 games in the prelims for the Beginner Division. Washington team and Planet Eclipse Sponsored Team, Seattle Swagger, took home the championship for the second event in a row in the Open Division with Legendary placing second and Planet Eclipse sponsored team, Riot Kings taking third place. For the Rookie Division, Code Blue pulled ahead of A.C.I. Black for the win, with Shooters in third place. WCPS introduced the new Beginner Division at Event #3 as a three man tournament with coaching allowed for players with two events or less of tournament experience. H8R Kidz, a Washington team, took the lead for first place, ahead of The Shenanigans and Legacy, both Oregon teams. The winning teams took home prizes from our sponsor, Planet Eclipse, including a gear bag, pod packs, jerseys, shirts and beanies.

The WCPS is continually impressed with the positive attitudes that the teams and players are showing at the events. We love to see everyone out to have fun and enjoy a great day of paintball! Thanks again to our incredible Sponsors: Planet Eclipse, Draxxus, Paintwarz, and Mafia Air! See you all at Event #4 in Tualatin, Oregon on July 31st!

Merciless !!!!!!!!!

One of the newest Planet Eclipse sponsored teams in Florida, Merciless, is making a name for themselves in CFPS events. In there first entry into the series, CFPS Event 2, they placed 3rd in D5 5Man in there first tournament debut beating many much more tournament experienced teams to claim that position. Currently, Merciless ranks third overall in the CFP Series and is climbing higher after each event. There are 3 events left in the CFPS Series and with their sights set on a PSP debut at the PSP World Cup Tournament in Polk City, Florida, Merciless is on their way! Good Luck boyz ...

Planet Eclipse would like to congratulate one of the newest teams to join the Emortal Army, Team Merciless, for their 3rd place finish at their first tournament this year. FREE Impact Signing in Chicago...

Today at the Chicago PSP in the Planet Eclipse Booth Team Impact will be signing posters.. Be there at 1:30 to get your signed poster and meet all of Team Impact......

Going a little too far ????

England’s football team managed to get through to the final 16 stage of the 2010 Fifa World Cup even after helping the USA with that cheeky draw in the first game…. (what is the colour of your money?? Green I believe) !!!

The whole of England has gone a little football mad, with flags on just about every car, house and shop everywhere.. This Sunday 27th June, at High Noon the big battle will take place (well, it’s actually a 3:00pm GMT Kick Off). The old rivalry between Germany and England will be on again…. Germany full on confidence with a young team. But the dogged English are not going to go down without a fight. However, some people are taking it a little too far !!

Check this house out…

Well, it is for charity.. St Ann’s Hospice.

So Lonely.... :-)

Sometimes in Planet HQ we get all lonely and sometimes even a little Sad. But then some kind sole takes the time and effort to write to us and tell us a little story... This week ray of sunshine comes to us from Adam Heiby... Thanks Adam.....

Subject: ftac backpack

Hi planet eclipse guys , my name is Adam and i love your products. In the beginning of the 2009-10 school year i bought your ftac back pack , when i got it it was amazing and i thought it looked really cool , but usually back packs fall apart. I was really supprised when it stood up the entire year of school acting as my welding gear bag to haul around all of my tools , metal , helmet , welding books and more. I was wondering how much weight i was carrying every other day with me 2 school and back so one day i weighed it. The total weight off all of my gear came out to 65-70 lbs depending on what metal i needed for that day. By far you make one of thee BEST back packs on the market , every other one ive tried usually falls apart from just usual books , paper and pens. Im expecting this bag to hold up for another year of welding at my high school. im also a eclipse shooter in paintball shooting an ego 09 pow mia edition with a cure 3 and zick 2. I just wanted to let you know how much i love your products and the quality of them , and your customer service is by far the best in the industry. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Shame we have sold out now :-(

It is with great pleasure that I announce the signing of Team Instinct into the Eclipse Emortal Army. We wish them the best of luck in the up and coming Millennium Series (Campaign Cup) and beyond!!

Planet Eclipse held it’s annual European Dealer Tech Course in 5th of June 2010 at the Ramada Hotel in Manchester. We had dealers participating from all over Europe and as far away as South Africa. Warrenty Centre Update

We are proud to unveil the new Planet Eclipse Warranty Centre

This is the beginning of a new Warranty system that we have been wanting to integrate for some time now, allowing customers to create an account for themselves, register the Eclipse markers that they currently own and then "dispose" of them when they sell them on, allowing the next owner to register them.

Not only do we anticipate that this will make life easier for you guys the customers, but will also aid our Service Centers when validating warranty information and carrying out warranty and service work.

So how do you use the new system????

Customers who have ALREADY registered their Eclipse marker(s) for warranty should follow this procedure:

- Click on the "Retrieve Password" link on the left hand side of the Welcome page or

- Enter the email address that you used on your original Warranty registration

- Click the "Retrieve" button

- An automated email will be sent to you with your Sign In details and a hyperlink allowing you to Sign In straight away.

- Once you have Signed In you can amend your Address, Contact, Email and Password details accordingly as well as view and amend your current Warranty Registrations.

Customer who have NOT yet registered their Eclipse marker(s) for Warranty purposes should follow this procedure:

- Click on the "Create New Account" link on the left hand side of the Welcome page or

- Begin the Create Account process selecting a Screen Name, Email Address and Password.

- Click on the "Next Step" button

- Providing all of the Registration details that you have submitted are valid, you will receive a notification at the top of the Screen to say "Account Created - your Sign In details have been emailed to you". (NOTE: This is purely for your records and to allow you to resume the Sign In process at a later date if you are interrupted).

- Submit valid Contact Details ensuring that all of the required fields are complete (Full name, contact preferences etc) .

- Click on the "Next Step" button.

- Submit valid Address Details ensuring that all of the required fields are complete (Town, Country etc).

Pro Player GEO2 Review

What better way to tell you about the NEW Planet Eclipse GEO2 that to simply cut and paste a review from one of X-Factors Pro Players Grayon Goff’s Blog?

Check out Grayson Blog for more X-Factor and Grayson goodness !!

My real name is Grayson Goff, George only comes out at night. I've been playing competitive paintball since 2001 and for the past few years I've been involved with San Antonio X-factor. Paintball has given me such a wonderful opportunity to live life to its fullest and I'm taking advantage of that every day of my life. This blog will chronicle those journeys...

GEO2 Review

This past weekend in Nebraska I was fortunate enough to get my hands on one of the new Geo 2's from Eclipse. Like usual, the gun came in the metal zipper case I've come to like very much. It's the perfect size to carry everything you need and still fits inside any gear bag. The gun, the tools, lube, and the barrels, everything you need is in this little box that can take a beating.

Ok, now on to the gun. As soon as I could get it out of it's case I had it aired up and ready to go. As with any Eclipse Marker, the only trigger adjustment I have to do is back out the top most forward screw. I have no idea what the screw is for but I've done with all my eclipse guns since 2006 and it always make the trigger perfect [See Jack Woods Notes Below]. With that out of the way, I donned the .689 back, my prophecy and tank and was ready to rock. The first thing I noticed was how much more stable the gun felt in my hands. The small distance added to the gap between the trigger frame and reg was perfect. I felt like I was going to battle with a rifle in my hand, not a little pistol. This small changed helped the gun stay more stable as I ripped off a few good lanes into some Nebraska corn.

Before Greg would hell at me for shooting his beloved corn we decided to get things going and play our first match. Right off the bat I noticed I was more accurate than I had ever been before. Instead of shooting the guy with the 2nd or 3rd ball, I'd catch him with the first right away giving them no chance to flinch away and hide.

The second improvement I noticed was the air efficiency. I was playing the tall cake on the dorrito side and most of the games my job was to lock off the snake side if we got a G off the break. Basically what that meant was I was shooting 4-5 pods a game easy. With my old GEO, I'd have to fill up after every game. With the new GEO 2 Bolt, I could stay out on the field and run backs to backs if need be.

The gun didn't get an easy first road either. Over the course of the weekend I shot close to 15 cases through it. We got rained on. It got tossed in the mud a few times and generally got beat up like any gun would if you played 9 matches with it. And through all this it kept firing and never missed a beat.

Overall I was very impressed with the small changes that ended up having a huge effect on performance. If you were a fan of the GEO, then the GEO 2 is a must buy. I know there's some diehard EGO fans (aka Todd Morrow) still out there but for those who like the spool valve design, the GEO2 can't be beat right now.

Tech Tip Of The Day from Jack Wood [Planet Eclipse Chief Engineer]

When dealing with Pros it is very important to understand several thing:

1) They have zero mechanical empathy.

2) They have zero technical knowledge.

3) They never NEVER Read The Frickin’ Manual!

OK, so I know it’s a pointless request, and there is no way you are going to do it, regardless of the knowledge that we spend thousands of dollhairs and expend hundreds of man hours and fell countless trees in order to produce it, so to help you out this one time: the screw reduces the magnetic return strength of the trigger when you dial it out, making the trigger pull lighter :-)

Now go and shoot some baddies with it!

Special Thanks to Andy Penner from .. Check out more pics from the X Factor and Vicious Practise and much more here:

Dynasty Clinic .... ACT NOW !

A few shorts years ago there were all sorts of Pro players from around the world travelling to the UK to hold clinics. These clinics were extremely valuable insights into the game and teams attending took the next step in becoming the best they could be !!

It’s been a while now but the Dynasty boys are looking at making another trip over to the UK.

Problem is that if everyone that said they are going to come to the session did come it would be very much over-subscribed, the other problem is nobody is coughing up the deposits which is needed before the Dynasty guys will book their flights (very understandably). So here is your kick in the ass to get yourself sorted out and booked in and PAID UP. Apathy is killing us all and unless you actually sign up this GREAT opportunity is going to pass you by and the Dynasty guys may never be been seen over here again…. Let’s make sure this doesn’t happen!!!!

These boys have the SKILLZ !!!!

Brute Force & . . . . . . .

Team Brute Force General Red Team at Modern Warfare at P&L Paintball

As we pulled out of our meeting spot with cloudy grey skies and the weather report on the radio we were all worried of what the day may bring. This was the first time in the history of the team was Brute Force ever honoured with a general position in an event; There was no chance that rain was going to keep us from winning. Over the last four years as a team, Brute Force has attended 14 major regional big games and scenarios and up until October of 2009 we held an undefeated record, we were hungry and excited to bring another win home with us.

We arrived at P&L Paintball at 6:30am, the majority of the crowd wasn't even awake yet but from the time we entered the front gates we were already running our game plans. It took us 20 minutes to set up our four blue Planet Eclipse canopies and tables when disaster hit. It felt as if the heavens opened up and there was an ocean falling on us. Rain fell hard as it thundered and lightened all around us, barely could we count one Mississippi from the time of the flash to the boom. Five minutes of intense downpours and we knew we had a problem. The location on which we set up the canopies was low compared to the area around it, we started to collect water smack in the middle of the Brute Force Compound. We started small with using water bottles and pods to fill and throw the water outside to keep the water level in the puddle low. But after five more minutes of bailing out we knew we were fighting a losing battle; we had to move. Jarrad Gilbert and I pulled our cars up to the edge of the canopies and began loading anything that wasn’t water proof; the 20 cases of paint, the gear bags, and of course the Dunkin Donuts. Once loaded we untacked the canopies and with all 12 members on the ready we moved half of the compound over 30 feet. With success now it was time to move the other half, leaving just a few people to ensure the moved half wouldn’t fly away. We started to move the other half. A huge gush of wind came and literally picked up the first half we moved and the 3 people holding it down. Now all of us muddy we rushed to get the compound back together. 15 minutes of struggling we finally had completed the task. We successfully moved our compound 30 feet to the left through intense thunderstorms and rain. And to our aggravated delight once everything was back set up inside the compound, it stopped raining.

Once the rain had went away and the skies started to lighten Steeel Reserve the team hosting the event started to go around and get everything in place, it took about an hour to get the game rolling but when it started everyone was ready. Sean Connell and Cameron Eames from Brute Force were the designated General and XO of the Russians or Red Team, however each member of our team had walkie talkies and were ready to help. We put on our Team Jerseys, filled all 70 pods of paint and loaded them into our packs and backpacks, filled all of our tanks to the max and prepped our EGOs, and ETEKs, Put in new Energy Paintball Batteries, and set up our Pinokio Hoppers for the carnage that awaited us.

At 10:30am the game officially started, Sean immediately pulled everyone to the front lines, and Brute Force spread out on the front knowing our radios would be the red teams primary communications. Within the first hour, we had to send back members to staging to refill our pods, many of Team Brute Force waiting with no paint as we hoped our runners would return in time with paint for the blue teams next push. The front lines battling continued all day up until around 2:00PM, never once did the Red Team lose our front lines grasp. We successfully held all day and at 2:00PM the game was paused and everyone exited the field as we prepped for the final battle. We checked inventory of how much paint we had left and we were down to 8 cases of the original 20. None of us knew what the points total was and many of us were afraid to go check; All we knew was that there was no way we were going to lose again. Steeel Reserved prepped us for a Take the Town finale where the red team including the Fuzzy Bunnies, CTC, Brute Force and others defended the Town as the blue team attacked. The one hour finale was intense, Team Brute Force held the left side of the town both up stairs and downstairs while the rest held off the right side, never once did any of the blue team reach the flag stations! The game ended as you heard the town erupt with excitement, Brute Force walked off the field tired, muddy, covered in paint, and pods empty. The EGOs and ETEKs performed flawlessly all day with zero hiccups or bumps, Never once did I break a ball and despite the incredibly high humidity the paint shot flawlessly. Everyone gathered around to hear the final score of the day and to receive the raffled off items. Steeel Reserve reported that the blue team had 1000 points, and that the red team has scored 2400 points! It was an exhausting and exciting day and you could tell each member of Brute Force was excited for our next event as we packed up our equipment loaded the cars and left the field.

Special Thanks to Steeel Reserve for hosting an incredible event, Brennans Smoke Shop for a good and fair fight, and all of our sponsors for there incredible support, We would not have been able to be what we are and do what we do if it wasn’t for you!

Planet Eclipse would like to thank Team Brute Force, PnL Paintball for hosting the great event and all other Eclipse sponsored teams for attending the event. We appreciate all the support that everyone showed us over the weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next event!!

LOD on a roll !!!

Planet Eclipse would like to congratulate team LOD for their 2nd place finish last Sunday. Another great event for team LOD and we appreciate the support that all our Dealers and sponsored teams have given us in Argentina!! Good luck at the next event

Last Sunday, a tournament was held at La Liga Paintball (Buenos Aires, Argentina), where Planet Eclipse Sponsored team, LOD, submitted two teams in division D3. One of the 2 teams went undefeated in its zone and reached the quarter-finals where it was the best-of-three matches to advance to the final. They moved onto the finals and gave their best effort and got second place.

'We had great technical advantage in the matches were time was short and because of the high performance EGO10 HPA did not need replacing between games, leaving us once we loaded paint and ready for the next game.'

'The level of the other teams was very good and we are pleased to have achieved our objective of obtaining a place on the podium.'

10 Things you might not know about me !!!

10 Things you might not know about me… This crazy world of Paintball we all immerse ourselves in drags us from A to B and back again, but who is it that is behind the Mask?? We are going to start to ask some of the Pro players in the Eclipse Family to give us some insight into there psyche. I’m a strong believer of not asking anyone to do something that I’m not willing to do so here is my ‘10 Things you might not know about me’

Visit Facebook and VOTE for the USA Pro player that we will ask next !!!

Enjoy…. LEDZ

Basic (Boring) Info:
Name: Antony Leadbetter
Nickname: Ledz
Age: 39…. OK I’m 40 !!
Team. Operation Sandbagger, Coach for Firm and Ex Nexus and Banzai Bandit
Job: Co-Owner of Planet Eclipse.

1. I hate family video’s of me as a teenager. Not sure why just do. If the family ever get them out I’ll leave the house rather than watching them.

2. A like hot sauce a lot but everybody thinks I like the super hot stuff which isn’t true. Tabasco is the king of hot sauce and I bow down in front of it. The Habanero Tabasco has a great taste and the perfect heat. The Super hot sauce is for friends that think they can handle anything hot... Fools. Check out the Eclipse Hot sauces they are lush !! 3. In the middle of summers there are still some dickheads driving around with fog lights on, when it’s not been foggy for months. If see one on the motorway I’ll pass them, get in front and flash my fog lights for ages until I think they get the hint then I’ll let them overtake me so I can see if they have turned them off.

4. I like collecting coins in a big jar. Ever two years there is normally enough for me to buy a new snowboard which is nice.

5. I do wee in the shower.

6. I’m a sucker for good eye catching packaging. For example cheese wrapped in some old fashion type paper gets me a lot more excited then something in a nice clear plastic wrapper. It’s mainly food stuffs that get me but other items packaged well turn me on.

Examples… Richmond Sausages Kick Ass.. But there packaging = EPIC FAIL.. I would always buy the others.

7. I like talking to checkout people in supermarkets. I just think they do a good job and it must be pretty boring so if I make them smile and there day go a little quicker then that makes me happy too.

8. If I didn’t have to work to earn money I would do one of the following:

Shopping Trolley Police. I HATE people who just dump the trolly in the car park when there is a perfectly good place to put them 5 meters further away… Very Lazy !

Bus Shelter / Phone Box Ninja. It amazes me that the people that actually need bus stop shelters or phone boxes are the same idiots that smash them up !!! I’d love to catch them and then smash up their stuff… They make me sick.

9. E-Bay. If I find something I need (For example I’ve just been looking for a phone charger) and I find it and it’s for a very small about like £3.25 I’ll still spend another 20 or 30 minutes looking for one for £3.10. I know I’m doing it, I know it’s pointless and costing me money but I just can’t stop myself.....

10. If I get excited or VERY nervous it makes me throw up. It still happens when I’m playing Paintball, even when I’m coaching I get this adrenaline buzz that ends up with me doubled over wrenching.
