3 Eclipse NCPA College teams battle !!!

On the weekend of February 13 Planet Eclipse had 3 sponsored teams (OU, CMU & NIU) battling out against each other at the MWGL Event #3. This was a great opportunity for one of our sponsored teams to bring home the first place trophy and for us to get a lot of exposure at the event. Unfortunately it did not go as planned and all 3 teams fought hard during the tournament but didn’t come away with a first place finish. We did have some strong finishes by all 3 teams and it’s great seeing all teams gain momentum moving towards Nationals were it will all be on the line. We appreciate the support from all 3 teams attending the event and we look forward seeing them at the next tournament.

CMU:
Central Michigan University tore it up in the prelims, only losing to OU. Seeded first going into finals, prepared to suit up against Western Michigan University. CMU battled it out with WMU, but ultimately lost in a three game set. CMU went on to beat University of Michigan two games straight to lock up third place.

OU:
Ohio University Bobcats fought through the prelims to get seeded second going into the finals. The slugged it out to beat UofM and move onto finals to play WMU. OU lost to WMU in two games but walked home with a second place trophy.

NIU:
NIU had a tough bracket in their second tournament of the season. They played well but did not make it past prelims. They did however chalk up a win against WMU, who went home with the gold.
