Gridfighters Champions Crowned!

In an intense season finale, Montreal FX, who shocked critics this season with their on-field intensity and athleticism, came out on top as Gridfighters 2012 Professional Series Champions! 
Montreal FX battled all season, and edged out rivals ‘Toronto Hustle’, a Badlands sponsored team, to take the GFL Pro title. The Semi- Pro division saw Kingston Red Dragons, also a Badlands sponsored team, go undefeated all season, clinching the Semi-Pro Series Title, and earning a coveted Pro spot for 2013.
Gridfighters is a high intensity, fast paced game where teams fight to gain ground and eliminate the opposing teams targets. The field looks like a standard speedball field, with 5 targets on either end, which can only be eliminated from selected offensive areas on the field. Teams start out of 3 starting gates at either end of the field. 10 man squads start with 5 players on the field. Once a player is eliminated they leave the field and another player inserts into the game. The game is divided into four  5minute quarters, of non-stop high intensity paintball action. GFL combines with the Xsports, (www.thexsports.com), to create an extreme sports spectacle. Whether it’s Paintball, BMX, Skateboarding, or Rock Climbing, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy and this is what makes the GFL so popular with Canadian teams & players.
New for the 2013 season, the GFL Rookie divisions will be introduced to a light version of the Gridfighters format. This division plays 3vs3 and will remain the same, however a 3 target system will be added to the field, and an expanded roster is permitted for 2013. This way more GFL teams can enjoy the exciting Gridfighter format, and teams can progress fluidly and seamlessly through the divisions.
The Gridfighters League is looking stronger than ever for 2013. More teams are signing up every day, and some divisions have already sold out! The X Sports’ will be hosting Gridfighters again next season, and makes its first stop in May 2013, at the Gannanoque recreation center, Ontario.

Whenever we hear reports of any issues with our products – no matter how small – we like to jump on it as soon as possible, try our best to understand the root of the problem and then provide a definitive solution. Over the last couple of weeks we have received reports of some inconsistent air leaks from the frame and POPS area of the CS3. Every marker that we produce is thoroughly tested prior to packaging and shipping, but unfortunately these leaks have developed after shipping, and normally at temperatures below those that the markers experience in testing. This is generally down to contraction – or shrinkage – of seals that occurs as the temperature drops. The leak can be heard from around the grips or, with the grips removed, from the Regulator Hole A in the side of the frame. It can also be heard from the join between the bottom of the frame and the POPS. We have traced these leaks to what appears to be a bath of bottom tolerance 016 NBR70 o-rings used on the brass HPR Body (see

Is Paintball back in Malaysia ??????

We think it is and we are super excited about it. Penang Island Malaysia, Pearl of the Orient also known as the Prince of Wales Island founded by the British East India Company in 1786 by Sir Francis Light and made a British Crown Colony in 1867. An Free port Island made in spices and entrepot trading and resupplying ships to and from the Indian Ocean. Modern Penang is also a renowned tourist destination both for local and international visitors for its food, heritage, hotels, beaches, cruise terminal and family activities. This island rich with culture and ethnic diversity was also the venue of our Northern Paintball Super league – on May 12th and 13th. With the fullest support from the City Council of Penang – Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang – MBPP, and hosted on Georgetown city centre’s beautiful Polo Grounds saw the largest paintball tournament, Penang International Cup in Malaysia of the past few years with 89 teams. It's officially the week of the world's biggest tournament paintball event on the Planet, the PSP World Cup in Orlando-Florida and we cannot wait! With so much up for grabs this year for our teams we're super excited to see how they all perform. For some, it's about finishing what they started in 2014, for others it's about putting the team in the best possible position for 2015's first event.
