PJ on Tour @ CBX Brazil - June 2017

Landed in Guarulhos Airport in Sao Paolo , Brasil after a 9 hour flight from Miami. Sao Paolo is the largest city in South Amerca. The city is alive 24 hours a day and never sleeps. Forecast or the week will be cool at a steady 57* throughout the week. After about an hour of Traffic I arrived in Atibaia Paintball Club (APC) .

APC has been in business for more than 4 years and is known as a great scenario field in Brasil. Owner Julio Lima was ready with a shot of the local nectar, Cachaca upon my arrival at the field. After a brief tour of APC we headed to a lakehouse where I would be staying for the next couple of days. The view was incredible but the ducks were quite rude always quacking for food. Anyways ,I unpacked and got everything ready for the tournament.


Circuito Brasileiro do Xball (CBX) is the premier speedball league in Brasil. Rodrigo Araujo has done a fantastic job with this league. This is CBX's 3rd year and they are steady and strong. nearly 40 teams came from cities across Brasil, Recife, Rio, Belo Horizonte, Ribeirao Preto and to many more to list. Brasil has some of the strongest Paintball teams in South America.

Brasil has always had an infatuation with Planet Eclipse markers. And you can clearly see that at the event. Planet Eclipse owners account for more than 65% of the market in Brasil. Team Papaletto has been a sponsored team since I came to Brasil for the first time in 2009. But the list is long in Brasil for Planet Eclipse stable teams. Spyder, BOOM, Arena Dodge, Vikings, Bushido, INK to name just a few and all of our  teams were ready for a crack at the crown.

The games were played on a regulation size NXL SupAirball field complete with scoreboards in the main field and pit areas. Nothing like watching predators in their habitat. Head Ref Edmilson Freitas (Japa) and his crew handled ref duties beautifully. These guys and girls are one the best Ref squads in South America. They kept the event running smooth and the teams rolling. These refs don't play around neither :-)

The time came to seperate the men from the boys Finals!! 

In D3 Open it was Papaletto vs Jungle Boys and what a game! After time ran out with the score even at 2pts each, they went to sudden death. Papaletto showed they were hungry and walked away with the crown and the bragging rights.. 

 


Spyder ended up in 4th  In D4  with Chernobyl taking top honors and Arena Dodger took 3rd.  



In D5 it was Gunslingers with the trophy followed by Pirraias in 2nd.. 



In the new D500 it was Maniaks going home with the gold. In 2nd place was Spyder Venom followed by their sister team Spyder Black in 3rd. Podium finishes were dominated by Planet Eclipse teams and rightfully so.

After the awards ceremony I packed up and celebrated with my teams with nothing else but CACHACA!!!!

Whenever we hear reports of any issues with our products – no matter how small – we like to jump on it as soon as possible, try our best to understand the root of the problem and then provide a definitive solution. Over the last couple of weeks we have received reports of some inconsistent air leaks from the frame and POPS area of the CS3. Every marker that we produce is thoroughly tested prior to packaging and shipping, but unfortunately these leaks have developed after shipping, and normally at temperatures below those that the markers experience in testing. This is generally down to contraction – or shrinkage – of seals that occurs as the temperature drops. The leak can be heard from around the grips or, with the grips removed, from the Regulator Hole A in the side of the frame. It can also be heard from the join between the bottom of the frame and the POPS. We have traced these leaks to what appears to be a bath of bottom tolerance 016 NBR70 o-rings used on the brass HPR Body (see

Is Paintball back in Malaysia ??????

We think it is and we are super excited about it. Penang Island Malaysia, Pearl of the Orient also known as the Prince of Wales Island founded by the British East India Company in 1786 by Sir Francis Light and made a British Crown Colony in 1867. An Free port Island made in spices and entrepot trading and resupplying ships to and from the Indian Ocean. Modern Penang is also a renowned tourist destination both for local and international visitors for its food, heritage, hotels, beaches, cruise terminal and family activities. This island rich with culture and ethnic diversity was also the venue of our Northern Paintball Super league – on May 12th and 13th. PSP World Cup...#GOTEAM!

It's officially the week of the world's biggest tournament paintball event on the Planet, the PSP World Cup in Orlando-Florida and we cannot wait! With so much up for grabs this year for our teams we're super excited to see how they all perform. For some, it's about finishing what they started in 2014, for others it's about putting the team in the best possible position for 2015's first event. To help our teams build some momentum this week, beyond providing them with equipment that looks great and performs flawlessly, we thought we'd have some fun with them on social media and generate some online rivalry between them, as well as getting some fan support along the way.
